Al-Jazariyyah Advanced Tajweed (JT107)

Overview

Who? This course is aimed at learners who are on their way to becoming a hafiz.

Prerequisites? In order to enrol on this course the learner should have the following skills:

· Fluency in reading the Noble Quran

· Memorised at least 10 ajzaa of the Noble Quran

Course Duration? This is a one-year course.

Class Times? Classes will run once a week for 1 hour. They will take place each Saturday morning at 9 am. 

Class Size? Limited to a maximum of 10 learners per class.

Fees? Free for those memorising the Quran (course HQ105) with us.

  • Homework: We expect learners to complete 30 minutes of out-of-class revision and memorisation each week.
  • Testing: There is an informal test at the end of each chapter (baab) of the poem. Formal tests will occur every 3 months. 

COURSE CONTENT - THE DETAILS

Al-Jazariyyah is a famous tajweed poem written by the renowned scholar Imam al-Jazari (d. 833 AH). It is a detailed presentation of the rules of tajweed and will help any hafiz protect the Word of Allah in his heart.
