Prizes, Tests and Homework

Homework: We expect learners to complete 10 minutes of out-of-class practice each weekday and 15 minutes on each day of the weekend. An online app can be downloaded by parents to facilitate these homework sessions.
Testing: Testing is of two types; an informal weekly quiz and testing at the end of each level. Level tests must be passed before moving on to the next level.
Prizes: In order to help grow the love of Qur'an in the learner's heart, hard work and progress are rewarded with small gifts and prizes!

COURSE CONTENT - THE DETAILS

Level 1: This level teaches fluency in letter recognition (singular and joint form) of the Arabic language. This will be covered in lessons 1 to 3 of the text.
Level 2: This level will cover sounding of letters with correct point of articulation (makhaarij) for the three vowel types (fatha, damma, kasrah). In addition, the application of tanween, madd and leen will be taught. This will be covered in lessons 4 to 9 of the text.

Level 3: This level focuses on the application of shaddah, sukoon and shaddah combined with madd. These topics will be covered in lessons 10 to 16 of the text.
Level 4: This level reviews all of the above concepts to further embed them into the learner’s long-term memory. This is done under the final lesson, lesson 17, to complete the text.
Level 5: This level eases the child into reading from the Noble Qur'an. The last 10 surahs are recited with reference back to the text to ensure rules have been understood.
